Frequently Asked Questions

Level of care is determined by current needs and goals. We provide medically assisted detoxification and residential treatment levels of care. During the pre-intake process our staff will work with you to determine the appropriate level of care. Our residential treatment program provides recovery from active addictions and assists you in becoming stable during the beginning of your journey in recovery.


During detox we provide 24/7 supervised care with observations due to a variety of reasons including medical safety and to provide medications support. Withdrawal from alcohol and benzodiazepines, as well as other drugs, can be extremely dangerous and even fatal if not completed in a safe environment with the proper medications. Detox may last between 7-10 days depending on your symptoms and intensity of use. Our goal is to ensure that our clients complete their detox safely and as comfortably as possible.

Daily Activities After Detox:

This is an idea of what your daily activities may look like and may look different depending on you level of care and treatment plan, but rest assured there is plenty of time to relax and have fun as well:

  • Breakfast, lunch, and dinner
  • Medication management
  • Group counseling sessions addressing addiction education and providing relapse prevention.
  • Individual counseling with our substance abuse counselors and individual therapy sessions with a licensed therapist.
  • Group sessions focused on addiction education and relapse prevention, Coping skills and process groups.
  • Indoor and outdoor activities with peers
  • 12-Step or other recovery-focused meetings

The length of stay here depends on the individual needs and circumstances and may be up to 30 days at Alpha Recovery.

Family involvement is determined by you, the client. Research shows that individuals who include family in their treatment not only have better outcomes. They also experience less relapse and longer periods of recovery. If you choose to include your family, our licensed therapists can facilitate family therapy sessions. We also have family visiting days at our facility. We follow the legal standard for confidentiality aligned with federal HIPPA will only share the information you consent for release.

No, you cannot lose your job seeking treatment. The Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) prohibits employers from discriminating against employees struggling with a substance use disorder (SUD) who seek treatment. Additionally, the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) may allow you to take unpaid leave to seek treatment without fear of losing your job. Our team can assist you in filling out the necessary paperwork.

After treatment ends, we will work with you to secure outpatient services when needed through one of the various agencies within your community. If you need housing our staff will work to coordinate housing services.

Once our admissions team completes the initial intake, we will work with you to create a comprehensive treatment plan that addresses your immediate needs and future goals in early recovery.

Upon your arrival at our facility, our friendly staff will greet you and assist you in completing the treatment consent. You will meet with our medical physician, psychiatrist, and licensed therapists to ensure your mental health and medical concerns are met.
